How long are the 35 contact hours for PMP valid for?

I just completed my 35 contact hours for the PMP. Please tell me how long will it take before they expire.

PMI does not mention an expiry or validity for contact hours. They say in the "PMP Handbook" ( http://www.pmi.org/Certification/~/media/PDF/Certifications/pdc_pmphandbook.ashx ), page 8, under the section "Contact Hours for Project Management", that you have to "record all education hours REGARDLESS of when they were accrued."

This means that they don't care when you got the contact hours, whether it was a year, 5 years, or 10 years ago. The important thing is that you have them.

I have searched the entire document for another mention on the validity of contact hours and found none, so this means that contact hours NEVER expire.

I hope that others can pitch in on this question as well.
