Will I get a refund if I cancel my PMP exam?

I do no longer wish to attend my PMP exam at the scheduled date (or at any date, for that matter - I don't think it's going to benefit me as I have expected), so I want to cancel my PMP exam. I have two questions:

- Will I get a full refund from PMI if I do this?
- Does PMI even accept exam cancellations?

Also, I have scheduled my exam with Prometric, so, should I follow up with Prometric (and not with PMI) for the cancellation/refund for my PMP exam?

To answer your second question, yes PMI accepts exam cancellations. Now, in order to be eligible for a refund you must inform PMI 30 days in advance before the scheduled date of your exam. PMI will not refund you any money if your 1 year eligibility has passed and you have not scheduled the exam.

PMI will refund you the money you paid, minus $100 processing fee.

The request for refund should be sent to PMI's customer care ( customercare@pmi.org ).
