The PRINCE2 foundation exam has 75 questions, 5 of them are the so-called pre-test questions that do not count towards the final score (you don't know which of the 75 questions are pre-test).

You need to get 35 out of the 70 graded questions correct in order to pass. So the minimum passing grade is 50% (out of the 75 questions) if you are lucky enough and do not have any non-graded questions in your correct answers, and the maximum passing grade is about 53% if you were unlucky enough and answered 40 questions correctly and 5 of these questions were the pretest questions.

The duration of the foundation exam is 1 hour, or 60 minutes. Which means you have 0.8 minutes/question or 48 seconds. (I know that's not a lot of time but don't worry, the PRINCE2 foundation exam is not hard, see: http://www.projectmanagementquestions.com/6280/is-prince2-difficult )

I would just like to clarify a point made by MaplePM. The 5 pre-test questions to which he refers are actually trial questions used by the exam body to test out new exam questions. MaplePM is correct to say however, that there is a maximum of 70 questions which carry a mark. Therefore the pass mark is 35 out of 70, which is 50%.

If you would like to try out a sample PRINCE2 Foundation exam, then you could try this simulator:
