When do projects go over budget?

When, during their lifecycle, do projects usually go over-budget? Is it true that most projects go over budget before they are 70% done? Also, at which point will the project manager be able to guess that his project will go over-budget? Please help...

Not at all . This depends on the way you manage your project .
But in the most cases you will keep your delay % when you get 20% of your project done to the end of your project, unless you have corrective action to you project .
