Well, here's how personnel is affected by the project closure phase (or as you called it, termination phase):
- They will be released from the project that they have worked on and they either loved or hated.
- Now that they are released, the project manager must assign them to other projects.
- They must be rewarded and recognized for the work they've done on the project (there are many forms of rewards and recognition, including, but not limited to, throwing a party, giving bonuses/raises/promotions/free vacation days/etc...)
So in other words, the project manager must plan for the following:
- Releasing the team members
- Assessing their work
- Rewarding their work
The project manager must also get the feedback of the team members as part of the lessons learned document.
