Here's how to have MS project do it for you (I'm sorry, but the results are not guaranteed since MS project tends to assume things)

- First: SAVE YOUR MPP FILE (I am putting this in CAPS as some versions of MS project can ruin your whole project plan when leveling the resources without the option of undoing what it did).
- MAKE SURE YOU SAVED YOUR MPP FILE (You can never be so sure)
- Click on Tools
- Click on Level Resources
- Click on "Level Now"

For best results experiment with the settings on "Resource Leveling" popup window to see what you can do. Of course you should experiment on the copied version.

Resource leveling in MS project has a notorious reputation, so again, please make sure you backup your MPP file first.
