Trick questions in the PMP Exam

Are there any trick questions in the PMP exam? Did anyone encounter such questions when taking the test?

I appreciate a prompt answer as I'm taking the exam in a couple of days and I want to be as prepared as possible (and as knowledgeable as possible about the style of the PMP exam).

There are no trick questions on the exam, however there are some question types to watch for (or just be aware of):

- trial questions - there are always some questions which PMI is trying out for future exams and for consideration of inclusion in the item bank.  These questions do not count toward your score, but they are not identifiable.
- PMIisms - forget what your company told you, the test is all about PMI and the PMBOK Guide. Your boss may tell you "we don't do lessons learned", but you will have to know them for the test
- there is only one best answer -- there will quite likely be two out of the four choices that are close, so read carefully
- blocks of questions -- you will occasionally find blocks of related questions; for example, when I took the test there was a schedule network and I had to answer five questions about it; just like the reading passages on the SAT, you may find clues for answers to a question in another question

Hope this helps and good luck on the test!
