How to close a terminated project?

What is the process for closing a terminated project? Is it the same one used when closing a done project?

Since the project is already terminated, then the only two things you need to worry about are:

Administrative Closure: Releasing team members and evaluating them (the evaluation process is not necessary)
Lessons Learned: While lessons learned should be captured throughout the project, you should create the lessons learned report at this stage for future reference. Lessons learned are quite important in terminated projects.

You don't need to worry about contractual closure and project project celebration.
