I have decided to take the PgMP test, but I don't know where to start. Does anybody know the application process for the PgMP? What I want to know is all the steps, from A to Z, that I should do to apply for the PgMP.

First, you have to make sure you're eligible: you should have 4 hears of project management experience and 4 years of program management experience (see the detailed requirements here: http://www.projectmanagementlearning.com/what-are-the-pgmp-eligibility-requirements.html )

Then you will need to apply for the PgMP through PMI's website: http://certification.pmi.org (you can also apply offline by filling in a downloaded form, printing it, and sending it to PMI).

Then, if your application is approved, you will need to go through the 3 different evaluations:

- Panel Review: A group of SMEs (subject matter experts) in Program Management who will review your answers in the "program management experience summaries" in your application. The panel will decide whether you are an autonomous person, and can really manage programs. You must pass the panel review in order to make it to the second step (the test).

- The Examination: Once you pass the panel review above, you have  a year from the date of your application approval to take the PgMP test. This is a test consisting of 170 questions (20 of which are not graded, but you can't know which ones are scored and which ones are not) testing your program management experience. The total duration of the test is 4 hours. Here's the breakdown of the questions by performance domains:
Defining Programs: 21 questions (14% of the total questions)
Initiating Programs: 18 questions (12%)
Planning Programs: 30 questions (20%)
Executing Programs:37 questions (25% - Notice that the executing performance domain has the lion's share of the questions)
Controlling Programs: 32 questions (21%)
Closing Programs: 12 questions (8%)
Total: 150 questions (the 20 remaining questions are pretest)

You can schedule the PgMP test directly on the Prometric website ( http://www.prometric.com/pmi ).

3. Multi rater assessment: This is a step where 14 individuals that have worked with you throughout your professional career evaluate your performance by answering 74 questions. More information on the multi-rater assessment can be found here: http://www.projectmanagementquestions.com/2079/the-pgmp-multi-rater-assessment
