It's good to know that what you mean by PM is Project Manager, as Prime Minister jobs are very scarce worldwide!
You're on the right path, a business analyst job is a step towards a Project Management position. What you can do is try to involve yourself as much as you can in Project Management such as scheduling, resource management, etc.. (while being overviewed by the Project Manager), and not to restrict yourself to strictly being a business analyst (e.g. gathering requirements and making sure that the project is aligned with those requirements).
You will need the following to become a Project Manager:
- Decent communication skills
- Problem analysis and solving skills
- Conflict management skills
- Ability to say "No" to those paying you the money
