Scope verification happens at the end of the project during the closeout phase. Quality control happens throughout the project.

The steps involved in scope verification comprise quality control activities, but they also comprise different activities such as:

- Ensuring customer satisfaction
- Ensuring that the product documentation is correct
- Ensuring all deliverables are there
