Project managers do not deliver - Projects teams do

What do you think of the above sentence "Project managers do not deliver - Projects teams do". Is it true that project managers are not behind the delivery of anything in the project, but the project teams are?

I personally think that without the project manager, there is no project, but without the team, there is no work done in the project, so each one complements the other, and the presence of both on the project is essential.

I agree.  There is no "i" in team, but the team needs to get their direction from somewhere, needs someone to facilitate the process, and needs someone to interact with the other stakeholders so they can focus on their activities and complete the project successfully.
