What is the difference between nice to have and must have requirements?

Please clarify the difference between nice to have and must have requirements. An example (in the context of a software project) on both is appreciated.

'Nice to have' simply implies an add-on functionality that may be useful but not mandatory to have whearas 'must have' implies a feature or functionality that is imperative and needs to be incorporated. One general example could be that the client says "A text search option is a must have in the application and it would be nice to have a tag based search as well"
But a PM needs to be alert if these terms are used since they may turn to possible change requests :)
