How to handle information overload?

I'm getting a lot of information (in the form of verbal feedback, emails, etc..) about my project from all my stakeholders (especially the client who sends me new requirements every day). I feel that I'm suffering a case of "information overload". What is the best way to handle this flow of information while ensuring that I don't miss anything?

My UCSD extension colleague, Susan Petersen, has an excellent article for the month of October. She suggests three helpful devices (filters, categories, and templates (e.g. rules files for email).  My blog where her article is posted demonstrates two of these ... browse by topic gathers together articles by a category and the tag cloud to the right of the posts can act as a filter.  To see the entire article titled Information Pollutions,  please visit http://bit.ly/pJIBJK.
