What is the difference between critical path method and critical path analysis?

Apparently some people think CPM is the exactly the same thing as CPA. Is this true, is the critical path method the same thing as critical path analysis? Or are they different?

In case they're different, then what is (are) the differences?

I would say that CPM is a subset of CPA.  CPA, critical path analysis, is any diagram that is designed to find the longest path, and these can be either activity on node (commonly known as CPM or critical path method) and activity on arrow (which I personally don't like as much as CPM).
