In what way should the planning of the project termination phase be affected by personnel considerations?

How is the project termination (closure) phase is affected by personnel considerations? And what should the project manager do in the planning of the project closure to take this issue into consideration?

Well, here's how personnel is affected by the project closure phase (or as you called it, termination phase):

- They will be released from the project that they have worked on and they either loved or hated.
- Now that they are released, the project manager must assign them to other projects.
- They must be rewarded and recognized for the work they've done on the project (there are many forms of rewards and recognition, including, but not limited to, throwing a party, giving bonuses/raises/promotions/free vacation days/etc...)

So in other words, the project manager must plan for the following:

- Releasing the team members
- Assessing their work
- Rewarding their work

The project manager must also get the feedback of the team members as part of the lessons learned document.
