How to ensure stakeholder participation?

0
votes
I feel that my stakeholders are not that interested in my project. They don't seem to participate in the meetings and I hardly get any (meaningful) feedback from them. How can I ensure stakeholder participation? How can I ensure that they become (and remain) interested in my project at all times?

I am asking this because I feel that it's very scary to have stakeholders who just don't care about the project.

There really isn't that much you can do to interest someone who isn't interested. Depending on your situation you can confront the uninterested stakeholder and bring up, carefully, your perception of the lack of interest. Stick to facts, i.e., "I've noticed you aren't at our meetings. Is there something wrong?"

In any case, continue to communicate with the person; send reports, include in emails, etc. You might also consider discussing this with the project sponsor.
