Are there any alternatives to the PgMP for a Program Manager to get certified?

I am already (luckily) PgMP certified but I want to know if there are any other alternatives to the PgMP (issued by the PMI).

I don't think it's a good idea for people just to have one option, and I favor competition, especially when it comes to accreditations.

So what are the current (respectable) program management certifications on the market, especially in North America?

I'm not sure I agree about the competition. In my opinion the PgMP is probably the most prestigious credential anyone can have. Very few people have it.

The only alternative to the PgMP that I found is the Certified Project Director ( http://www.iappm.org/cpd_option.htm ), offered by the International Association of Project and Program Management.

There's not a huge market for program management certifications, that's why the options are very few. Even the AIPM (Australian Institute of Project Management) does not offer a program management certification.
