Is the project manager a stakeholder?

Can we consider that the project manager is a stakeholder? I'm saying this because technically as stakeholder is someone who has interest in the outcome of the project, and this applies to the project manager.

Of course the project manager is a stakeholder in the project, simple because he has interest in it. Have you ever seen a project manager not interested in his own project?

The definition of a stakeholder is anyone who has interest in the project, and that applies to the PM.
